Captique

Captique is wonderful, predictable dermal filler that lasts only 8 to 12 weeks. It can be used to define lips, fill depressions around the nose and mouth, and rejuvenate the lower face. This is a perfect non-invasive “event day” treatment for a special occasion or just to “test drive” a new look.

What is Captique™?
Captique™ is an FDA approved, non-animal, stabilized hyaluronic acid dermal filler. It corrects moderate to severe wrinkles and creases. Captique™ is a reliable and predictable filler that is good for wrinkles, smile lines, lip creases and crow’s feet.

How does Captique™ work?
A gel implant made of hyaluronic acid is injected below the surface of the skin. Hyaluronic acid is found naturally in skin. When injected, the body absorbs it and fills in wrinkles.

Are there any possible side effects?
Possible side effects include redness, swelling and bruising.

Will there be any downtime?
There is no downtime, and clients may return to work the same day.

What are the results?
As the skin absorbs the hyaluronic acid, it is plumped, and wrinkles and creases are filled in.

What can be expected post-treatment?
Swelling and redness are common post-treatment and will subside within a few days.

How soon will results appear?
Results appear after any swelling subsides.

How long does a Captique™ treatment last?
Treatment takes about thirty minutes.

Who are candidates for Captique™?
The best candidates are those with moderate to severe wrinkles and creases as well as mild to moderate sun damaged skin.

Who should avoid treatment?
Patients with potential for keloid formation, heavy scarring or pigmentation problems should avoid Captique™.

How does the treatment feel?
Injections may cause some discomfort; topical anesthesia may be applied to the area to reduce pain.

How long do the results last?
Results last two to three months.

Is additional treatment necessary?
Yes. Patients usually undergo two or three treatments per year to maintain results.

What are the limitations?
Captique™ is not permanent. After two to three months, patients must have additional injections to maintain their desired look.

Instructions before treatment:
Patients are advised to not take blood-thinning medications prior to treatment.

Instructions after treatment:
Patients should have minimum exposure to the sun until swelling and redness have disappeared. Avoid strenuous exercise and apply ice packs to decrease swelling.
